Important News About Bright Futures
I write today to tell you all some tough news. 7 years on it feels SO surreal to type this as it has been quite the journey, but Bright Futures, as you all know it, is sadly coming to an end.
Unfortunately, we’ve had some really really hard decisions to make recently and it really saddens us to tell everyone that due to personal, financial & resource issues, we are simply unable to continue to operate as we currently do.
This means that we’ve had the heart-breaking task of saying goodbye to our amazing staff in a few months time and can no longer support many of our returning families, who we will miss dearly. [All families affected, have been contacted & are aware].
Everyone that has been supported by BF knows that it is our staff that makes our organisation so special. Our staff have been utterly incredible. Members of staff that have worked for us have always gone above and beyond putting their heart & souls in to everyone’s cases to secure the best outcomes for our BF families. I can not thank my team, enough, old & new.
Likewise, we can not thank the families we have supported, enough. From the few very first families that trusted me with their child’s future, to the hundreds of families that now trust our whole team, you have been wonderful. Keep fighting, keep advocating.
Going forward, Bright Futures will be tapering out the support of services over a well-planned, extended retreat. We will continue to offer support for EHCNAs, registering Refusal to Assess appeals, meeting support & EHCP checks, before 19th October 2023. Please do use us and keep us busy until this date as we do have capacity :)
We will not be closing the business, it will still be there but our services wont be available to purchase after October. In terms of the future, am not sure what the future holds for BF, and I do hope it is Bright(!) but for now, we have to scale back, reassess, take a break and focus on our own families 💚 .
Wishing you all the best & thank you so much,
Ruth x
